Directed, by Michael Rossato-Bennett, Alive Inside explores the healing power of music and its ability to reawaken the soul, even in patients thought to be unreachable.
This documentary film follows social worker Dan Cohen, founder of Music & Memory, a nonprofit that strives to improve elders’ quality of life by promoting the use of digital music players and personalized playlists as part of their care, and chronicles stories that demonstrate music’s potential to improve elder care, combat memory loss, and help patients recover their sense of self.
