Project Wild Thing Movie and Nature Connection Workshop
Come before the movie for a short workshop with Farrington Nature Linc and Dr. Jeffrey Perrin of Lesley University: How do we build and describe nature connection in children?
Nature Connection Workshop: 2:30-3:30pm Theater doors for the movie will open at 3:30PM.
The 82-minute film will begin screening at 4:00PM.
Description of the Nature Connection Workshop: Dr. Perrin will give a brief overview of his current research, 'Recognizing Connection to Nature: Perspectives from the Field.' Then we will break up to smaller groups to talk about our experience communicating to others, parents, educators, administration, etc. about the role of nature connection in youth development.
We will end by brainstorming opportunities to connect and strengthen our individual practices together.
This workshop is designed for educators and caregivers who work or would like to work with children in nature.
All are welcome to attend.

Description of the movie: David Bond is a filmmaker and a father.
His children are hooked on screens and don't want to go outdoors.
Determined to get them up and out, David appoints himself as the Marketing Director for Nature.
With the help of branding and outdoor experts, he develops and launches a nationwide marketing campaign to get British children outside.
