The second part of the classic fantasy trilogy turns 20 this year!The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers will be back on the big screen at The Cabot!
The Fellowship of the Ring continues its quest to the land of Mordor to destroy the One Ring forged by the evil Sauron, but its members are now on separate paths.
Hobbits Merry and Pippin have been kidnapped by the forces of the corrupted wizard Saruman, who mistakenly believe they carry Sauron’s powerful ring.
Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli track their kidnapped companions to the land of Rohan, a kingdom renowned for its cavalry that has fallen under Saruman’s dark influence.
Meanwhile, Frodo and Samwise, the hobbits who are actually carrying the One Ring, edge closer to Mordor, the only place where the ring can be destroyed.
However, another seeks the ring – Gollum, a twisted creature who once possessed the ring and has been driven mad by its power, stalks the pair of hobbits and will stop at nothing until he holds his “Precious” ring once again.
We will be screening the theatrical version of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
