Gene Wilder stars as the weird and wonderful candy man Willy Wonka, who starts a frenzy the world-over with the announcement that five golden tickets stashed away inside the wrappers of his candy bars will allow the winners a peek inside his top-secret confectionary.
Once inside, five lucky children and their guardians, including meek little Charlie Bucket and his grandpa, discover a world wilder than they could have imagined: rivers of chocolate, lickable wallpaper, and of course Oompa Loompa's, Wonka's singing, dancing miniature factory workers. It's all fun, games, sweets and songs, but some of the children discover there are consequences for their bad behavior inside the factory, while poor little Charlie finds he may of won the grandest prize of them all.
