Just a 40-minute drive from Boston, the FirstWorksKids Festival features 5 stages of performances from the 4 corners of the globe. Thirteen Chinese acrobats, African folksingers, puppets, a wacky marching band, Japanese taiko drums, Chinese dragon dances, and lots of hands-on activities, including workshops at Providence Children's Museum and the RISD Museum. And it's all free.

Saturday night will wind up with a river procession to Waterplace Park and a fandango celebration with David Gonzalez (fresh from Broadway) and the wonderful folk band Sones de Mexico, followed by the lighting of WaterFire.
