The Great American Food and Music Fest - where legendary purveyors of classic American food, celebrity chefs and extraordinary musicians will come together at an affordable price. The event will be held at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from noon to 10:30 p.m.
Some of the most acclaimed eateries in the country will be on-site to serve their specialties, including: Al's Beef (Chicago, IL), Dandy Don's Ice Cream (Van Nuys, CA), Goldie's Churros (Los Angeles, CA), Hell's Kitchen (Minneapolis, MN), Jim's Steaks (Philadelphia, PA), Junior's Cheesecake (Brooklyn, NY), Maine Diner (Wells, ME, Neely's BBQ (Memphis, TN), Pizzeria Uno (Chicago, IL), Southside Market BBQ (Elgin, TX), Ted Drewes Custard (St. Louis, MO), Tony Luke’s (Philly, PA), Turtle Alley (Gloucester, MA), All Star Sandwich Bar (Cambridge, MA), Tucson Tamales (Tucson, AZ), and Zoe's Cupcake Café, a nonprofit bakery benefitting teen mothers (Teaneck, NJ). Also, Dandy Don's Ice Cream (Van Nuys, CA) will attempt to make history with the world’s largest ice cream sundae bar.
There are also numerous additions to the talent line-up that include a spectacular live performance by EepyBird, famous for their extreme Diet Coke & Mentos geyser experiments; live Q&A with Roadfood founders Jane and Michael Stern and Stephen Rushmore; and a cooking demo by Philly cheese steak connoisseur Tony Luke.
The newly announced purveyors and talent will join a who’s who of culinary talent that will be on hand to showcase their celebrated skills including restaurateur, author and television host Paula Deen; Tom Colicchio, critically acclaimed chef and host of Top Chef; Pat and Gina Neely, co-owners of Neely’s Bar-B-Q and hosts of Down Home with the Neelys; and Ace Of Cakes star and master baker Duff Goldman. Wine expert and New York Times best-selling author Gary Vaynerchuk, of Wine Library TV fame will also be on hand to share his knowledge with novices and aficionados alike at the beer and wine tasting area.
The festival will also include live music from New Orleans legends Buckwheat Zydeco, American Idol sixth season finalist Melinda Doolittle, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, and Boston rock and roll legends, the Stompers.
Pricing
There are a number of ticket options available for the event to make it accessible to everyday food lovers without breaking the bank.
Prior to the event, general admission starts at $32.50, for a limited time only. Starting May 21st, tickets will be $42.50. General admission tickets will increase to $52.50 when purchased during the day of the event. Group packages are available as well as VIP ticketing, which includes private catering, unlimited food /beverages, and talent meet-and-greets.
Tickets for the beer and wine tasting area are not included in general admission and must be purchased separately. Parking is included in the price of the ticket and children under 10 are free.
