Therapeutic Thursdays: Watch “Boston Med” Live at Basho
Between 14-hour hospital shifts and cafeteria fast food, it’s hard for medical professionals, students and staff to practice the healthy way of life that they’re always preaching to their patients. Making it easier to get a taste of their own medicine, Basho invites its neighbors to “Therapeutic Thursdays,” a weekly event dedicated to giving back to Boston’s medical community of surgeons, doctors, nurses, hospital staff and students, both nursing and medical.
With the launch of new hospital documentary “Boston Med” (Thursdays on ABC at 10pm starting June 24, 2010), the Boston medical community steps into the spotlight this summer. An eight-part series, “Boston Med” features the work of Mass General, Brigham & Women’s and Children’s Hospital staff. Basho will screen each one-hour episode and offer food and drink specials all night long.
In addition to a 10% discount on Basho’s healthy sushi offerings (all rolls and sashimi can be done with brown rice), “Therapeutic Thursdays” features a specialty cocktail list of medically-minded cocktails, including:
