New England Chili Classic
The New England Chili Classic features chili sampling from some of the most well-known restaurants and chefs in the area, live music and entertainment, eating contests, a street fair, a kids’ zone and appearances from local celebrities Mary Ann Esposito and Billy Costa.
Mary Ann is the star of “Ciao Italia,” the longest-running cooking show in TV history. She will be the New England Chili Classic on Saturday, October 13 from Noon-6pm. Billy is known for his show “TV Diner” on NECN, and will be at the New England Chili Classic on Sunday, October 14 from 3-6pm.
Up for grabs for the participating restaurants are the titles of Best Red Chili, Best Vegetarian Chili, Most Creative Chili, People’s Choice and the overall New England Chili Classic Champion. A portion of ticket sales will benefit local non-profit associations. More than $30,000 was raised over the past two years!
Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.NewEnglandChiliClassic.com for just $5 each until October 12. Tickets at the event are $7 each. Each ticket provides the ticket holder with admission into the entertainment area as well as the opportunity to sample five chilis of their choice.
