Just in time for spring, Harvard Sweet Boutique, a gourmet dessert boutique known for handmade, decadent cookies, brownies and toffee, is expanding its Hudson store offerings to include custom cakes and other warm-weather savories.
The popular bakery will host a tasting event where guests will enjoy a complimentary sampling of the boutique’s new cold fruit-based soups, yogurt parfaits, fruit pies, tarts and cakes.
The tasting will be held at the storefront, located at 25 South St., on April 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those in attendance can also enter to win a 9-inch custom cake valued at $45 and take advantage of a 10 percent storewide discount.

The expanded store menu is part of founder Sue George’s commitment to bring the Hudson community fresh, tasty, one-of-a-kind treats using the finest all-natural, high-quality ingredients that are sourced locally whenever possible.
Since the store’s opening in November 2012, it has quickly become the local one-stop shop for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, as well as for special occasion cakes, dessert platters, and custom-built gifts.
