Boston City Plaza Beer Garden Series
The event is free and open to the public, and limited to people 21 or older. It will celebrate Housing Innovation Lab’s one-year anniversary.
Local Boston Main Streets food vendors will be featured, including Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, Crave Restaurant & Lounge, Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, and Salamander’s Café.
Wanderlush Cocktail Catering will also be serving beers and drinks from Idle Hands Craft Ales, the Aeronaut Brewery, and Downeast Cider, Boston Main Streets said.
From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., MoveWith will be hosting an all levels, free hip hop yoga class, led by Catie Macken. Those interested can book a spot on MoveWith’s website.
Attendees will be able to compete for their neighborhood in “street-party” games such as giant pong and other lawn games, according to the event page. Live entertainment will include the Mike Fritz Band, based in Hyde Park.
The Housing Innovation Lab, celebrating its anniversary, will debut a tour at City Hall in an effort to start a conversation about “compact living,” the organization said. The Urban Housing Unit, a 385-square-foot, fully furnished unit with a bathroom, bedroom, living room, and kitchen, will join the lab.
The unit will then travel to Roslindale, Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, East Boston, and Allston, staying in each area for two weeks. Each stop will feature several events and activities, the lab said.
If you can’t make this one, Walsh announced the next Beer Garden events will take place on September 14 and October 5.
