Christmas Eve: An Eatalian Fish Festival
Shocking, we know!
Everything started when our Southern Italian ancestors were celebrating Christmas Eve with a grand seafood meal, to toast to the abundance of food after a day of fasting - a tradition that is still very much alive in the South of Italy.
After moving to the States many years ago, Italian American families rekindled the Christmas Eve tradition, preparing a seven-course seafood meal (hence the name of the newly found tradition) that both made them feel close to their homes, and celebrated the sea, the big connector to their own country.
This Christmas Eve, join our Eatalian family as we celebrate our similarities and differences with an elegant prix-fixe dinner for you and yours at Il Pesce, our seafood-centric restaurant.
The menu is directed by our chef collaborator, the celebrated Boston restaurateur Barbara Lynch, who brings her local expertise to our Italian tradition.
An optional wine pairing can be added upon dining.
Buon Natale!
