Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops Sugar Art EcoDay 2023
Ben & Jerry's Newbury Street Scoop Shops and peasoupATTACK will host a Sugar Art & Music event on Saturday, May 20th, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST.We are excited to provide a free and family-fun event for all ages to give back to the community!
Linda Khachadurian is a Beirut-born, Armenian-American medical editor, international educational nonprofit founder, sugar and chocolate artist, and host of The Charitable Confectioner on Channel 9/Cambridge.
Her online business, Chipper Confections Art, partners with Pure water for the World.
Her volunteer-run nonprofit, Charitable Confections, is a 501(c) (3) public charity that assists educational nonprofits in Haiti and Armenia.
For every ice cream sale, Ben & Jerry's Boston Scoop Shops will donate $1.00 to the Avedisian School in Yerevan -- named after the late Bostonian benefactor Edward Avedisian -- in which Linda is implementing a new virtual guest lecture series via Charitable Confections.
The private school is a state-of-the-art one that is also very eco-friendly and has received LEED Silver certification.
Funds will help the school run tuition-free to promote educational equity and allow the opportunity for low-income family students to learn at a top facility.
