Join us to learn about how Boston Area Gleaners is leading the charge to decrease food waste, support local farmers, and increase food security with their Boston Food Hub and Food Access programs.
The visit will include an overview of the organization with Usha Thakrar, Executive Director and Annie Broad, Food Hub Manager, a tour of Stonefield Farm where they are growing a variety of produce and a look into their logistics facility where they manage the storage, allocation, and distribution of product.
We'll discuss how their work supports the viability of local farms and communities that have historically suffered from food system inequities, and share how businesses and individuals can get involved.
This event is free but tickets are required due to limited capacity.
