Bottom Line is assisting 475 students from Boston and Worcester high schools and is actively supporting 610 college students at schools across the country for 2008-09. It has a proven track record, with a college retention and graduation rate of 74 percent since inception in 1997, far exceeding the 36 percent graduation rate of Boston Public School students cited in a recent report.
Bottom Line’s college students receive one-on-one mentoring, academic and financial aid counseling and emotional support throughout their college years. Additionally, Bottom Line is continuously enhancing and refining its national-model program to underserved students. It has also developed a job internship program, career fair and workshops for current clients and alumni.
