Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger is Sunday, May 3. Walkers will enjoy a 20-mile route weaving through Boston, Brookline, Newton, Watertown, and Cambridge, and will be provided with entertainment and free snacks along the way. This year, an expected 42,000 participants will raise more than $4 million in pledges to help fund over 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, food banks, and food salvage programs across Massachusetts.

The following roads will be closed in Cambridge:

* Expect delays at the intersection of Greenough Boulevard and Gerry’s Landing Road and at the Eliot Bridge and Cambridge Boat Club from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
* Memorial Drive, between Fresh Pond Parkway and Western Avenue, will be closed to vehicular traffic at 9 a.m., two hours earlier than the usual Sunday closing schedule.
* Expect slow moving traffic on Memorial Drive from Western to Massachusetts Avenues from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
* Expect delays on the Harvard Bridge inbound to Boston from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
