On May 15, 2010, thousands of concerned citizens in Massachusetts will walk together at Artesani Park in Brighton MA, to raise money and awareness about our state's need for a world-class treatment and recovery system for people with mental illness.

Registration starts at 9:00am and the Start time is at 11:00am. There is no minimum amount required to participate (free registration) and all are welcome.

The purposes of the WALK are to raise public awareness about mental illness and the realities of individuals and families living with these disorders; fight stigma and the negative stereotypes associated with mental illness; reach out to new populations affected by mental illness; raise funds to provide resources, programs and activities for our state and local affiliates; and build a larger NAMI community.

Join the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Massachusetts in Changing Minds...One Step at a Time!
