His hilarious, energetic, and unique show engages the audience – in fact, the audience becomes the show! Adults and children alike will enjoy the humor and energy of Frank Santos, Jr.. Proceedings begin at 2 pm in the Richardson-Mees Performing Arts Center, at the Route 40 entrance to Lawrence Academy in Groton and are expected to conclude by 4:00.
The tickets for the show are a donation of one sack of non-perishable groceries which will be donated to Loaves and Fishes, an organization that began in 1983 to serve people in Groton , Ayer, Devens, Littleton , Harvard, and Shirley, by providing food, emergency shelter, and resource referral. More than just a food pantry, Loaves and Fishes has hundreds of committed volunteers (stewards) who work one-on-one with clients to help them get the assistance they need through referrals to appropriate resources. Loaves and Fishes provide food and assistance to over 400 families a week.
Patricia Stern, Executive Director of Loaves and Fishes, reports that the most needed items in the food pantry today include, juice, cereal, chunk light tuna, and jelly. Other essential items include pasta sauce, coffee, cake mix and frosting, stewed tomatoes, coffee, shampoo, and bar soap.
Drs. Pam and Steve Jarboe are chiropractors whose practice, Community Chiropractic, on Main Street in Groton includes a massage therapist and a clinical psychologist. It is also the location for a series of health and wellness seminars on a variety of topics, ranging from “Aging Gracefully vs Growing Old” to “Pregnancy Boot Camp” and “Raising Healthier Children.” Drs. Pam and Steve characterize the office as a “place to revitalize, reenergize, reorganize, and renew!” They specialize in low force chiropractic that features gentle specific adjustments along the spine to release tension from the nerve system, allowing the body to experience more of its potential. In their combined 25 years of experience, this husband and wife team has adjusted babies as well as patients boasting over 100 years of age.
The Charity Out-Reach Program is their way of giving back to the community. “We are simply harnessing the energy that comes from well people doing well for others,” explained Dr. Pam. “Our motto is; ‘Be the rock; be the change; feel the ripple.’ This is powerful energy that makes it easy to extend good works.”
