High schools are encouraged to join the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer High School Challenge, it's easy and fun, it provides students with an opportunity to grow their leadership skills, fulfill community service requirements, and encourages healthy competition between participating schools.

The 18th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5 mile walk is Sunday, October 3 starting and ending at the DCR Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade in Boston. This inspiring event unites the entire community to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, save lives, and create more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
