YOUTH DESIGN, an inspiring paid summer internship program that exposes public high-school students with talent and a creative interest to the world of design, will host their inaugural fundraising event to raise awareness and support for the organization.

VIP Fundraising Event (6:30-8:30pm):
Designers and Boston business leaders join together to host an evening in support of YOUTH DESIGN while guests enjoy warming cocktails and ‘Winter Warm-Up’ comfort food tastings set to a soundtrack of ‘hot’ Latin rhythms.

YOUTH DESIGN will present its first annual “2011 Mentor of The Year” award to Josh Bruno, Director of the School-To-Career program at the Boston Private Industry Council (PIC). There will also be brief presentations from YD student graduates and Founder, Denise Korn.

AIGA AFTA Party (8:30-10:30pm):
Following the fundraising event, AIGA and YOUTH DESIGN invite members, friends and newcomers to a lively “AFTA” party and networking event, held on the Liberty Hotel’s fifth floor catwalk with free admission and cash bar. All welcome!
