The Maynard Education Foundation, founded in 2000, provides grants to Maynard teaching professionals who come to MEF with innovative ideas that they want to bring back to their classrooms to further enhance education for Maynard children. These ideas are outside the budgeted curriculum.

The Maynard Education Foundation (MEF) is sponsoring its Ninth Annual Taste of Maynard from 4-7 p.m., Sunday, March 6, at the Maynard Lodge of Elks, 34 Powdermill Road, Maynard.

The Taste features a cash bar, music by the local band Shoot the Cat, raffles, and samples of food from local restaurants including:
