Ben Rudnick and Friends will hold two shows to benefit St. John’s Nursery School on March 19, 2011, one at 9:30 and another at 11:00am. A raffle and silent auction will also take place during both shows, and light refreshments will be served.

All proceeds from this event help support enrichment and educational opportunities for the students of St. John’s Nursery School.

Ben Rudnick and Friends have been bringing families, music and fun together in their own unique style from their first release, Emily Songs, in 2000 to their recent A Frog Named Sam. Boasting a high level of adventurous musicianship, their enthusiastic recordings and live performances seamlessly range from light folk, bluegrass, calypso, rock and even Irish Jigs.
With countless kudos to their credit, including five Parents’ Choice Awards, the band considers its main focus to be providing a common ground where all family members can, without compromise, enjoy a shared musical experience. This is best exemplified in their live shows.

St. John’s Nursery School is a NAEYC (www.naeyc.org) accredited pre-school established to meet the needs of the three-year old nursery school child. St. John’s has served young children for over thirty-five years in Westwood, MA. A curriculum has been set up to provide a diverse, creative learning experience catering to the child’s developmental level. The program follows a structured plan while leaving room for flexibility that allows the children to be creative and explore many materials within an enriching, literacy-based environment. Children grow into relationships with peers while subtly directed by an attentive and dedicated staff. The curriculum is designed to help each child develop emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially in a caring environment. Each child is accepted as an individual and is encouraged to grow with independence, self-assurance, and self-esteem.
