For $25, attendees get to sample a huge selection of Somerville's finest pizza from local favorites like Leone's and Mamma Lisa's to newcomers like Prima's and Eat At Jumbo's.
With tough economic times setting in, The Elizabeth Peabody House launched a pilot project in September 2009, and opened its Pantry in earnest three months later.
The Pantry currently provides groceries to more than 175 Somerville families per month, with the majority of its food coming from The Greater Boston Food Bank, Stop & Shop, Farmer Dave’s and Food for Free. The fundraiser is, in part, also made possible through the support of Flagraphics, Inc. and Cambridge Taylor Rental.
To get your tastebuds prepared, some of last year's delicious creations included Chicken Teriyaki, Tri-Colored Pepper and Garlic, Golden Nugget, and the classic Buffalo chicken. This time around contenders will be judged on their crust and sauce for their cheese pies, and on a range of categories for specialty pies.
All of this will be taking place outside at the Pizza Challenge tent at 277 Broadway. Reserve your ticket today!
Ticket prices are $25 for adults. Beverages are included in the ticket price.
