The prestige and glamour of Hollywood comes to Boston for the Ellie Fund’s 17th Annual Oscar® Experience Boston Gala, the state’s only Academy Awards® celebration officially sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, an honor the Ellie Fund has earned for the past 11 years.
Movie lovers have the opportunity to show off their black-tie finest on the red carpet on February 24, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the State Room, 60 State Street, Boston.
Thanks to Presenting Sponsor Subaru of New England, 100% of event proceeds will help the Ellie Fund fight breast cancer and ease its effects on hundreds of local patients and family members across Massachusetts.

This will be an event not to be missed!” The Ellie Fund offers the exclusive opportunity to walk the red carpet and experience the Academy Awards® celebration like an A-list star while helping local families in need.
In addition to surprise celebrity guests, this year’s black-tie event will be emceed by WCVB-TV5’s Susan Wornick, David Brown, Dorothy Krysiuk and JC Monahan.
Guests are offered numerous exclusive opportunities to party like a star, starting with first-class accommodations at Ames and a chance to experience the Academy Awards® telecast live from Hollywood on oversized screens.
The event also features a red carpet entrance, an interactive photo booth by Pose Designed Photo Experiences, exciting live and silent auctions, fabulous swag bags, and Hollywood-style surprises.
Hosted by BostonChefs.com, this year’s lavish hors d’oeuvres gourmet chef stations will feature the best savory and sweet tastings from the area’s best restaurants: Area Four, Artisan Bistro, Blue Inc., Brasserie 28, Cakeology, Cinquecento, Citizen Public House, Dante, Eastern Standard, Harvest, Island Creek Oysters, L’Espalier, Lumiere, Sam’s, Season to Taste, The Tip Tap Room, West Bridge, and more.
Featured auction donors include jetBlue, Royalton, and Wayland Travel, and hosted bars include libations by Absolut Tune, Tequila Avio, and Jameson Irish Whiskey.
