Room to Grow celebrates inspirational mothers who care for our children, strengthen our families and build our community. Join Boston's corporate, social and philanthropic leaders to build strong foundations for babies born into poverty.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Room to Grow is honoring four inspirational Boston women at a benefit breakfast at the Taj Boston Hotel on Friday, May 10, at 8 a.m. Sheila Marcelo, Founder and CEO of Care.com; Sharon McNally, Chief of Staff at Connors Family Office; and Kelli Pedroia, Community Volunteer and Wife of Red Sox Second Baseman Dustin Pedroia, will all speak about their roles as moms and community leaders in Boston.

Sheila Marcelo founded Care.com, which is currently the largest online care destination in the world, allowing families to connect with millions of caregivers for children, pets and the elderly.

Amongst her many projects, Sheila mentors young female entrepreneurs, while also raising two sons.

As Chief of Staff at Connors Family Office, Sharon McNally supports the philanthropic, political and business activities of Jack Connors, Jr., founder and former CEO of Hill Holliday and Chairman Emeritus of Partners Healthcare.

Sharon serves on several leadership boards for local nonprofits, and is mom to three grown children.

Kelli Pedroia is a busy mom to Dylan and Cole who are both under the age of three.

She is an active member of the Red Sox Wives organization, which encourages family members of players to engage in community service around the city.

Room to Grow will also honor a mom enrolled in its program who is overcoming the challenges of raising a baby in poverty.

Since 2005 in Boston, Room to Grow has provided low-income parents with one-on-one parenting support, essential baby items, and vital community connections during their children’s critical first three years of development.

Room to Grow is a nonprofit organization that relies entirely on private funding and support.

Individual tickets to Room to Grow’s breakfast benefit cost $100, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
