Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime honors Dean Martin, one of the most beloved and enduring entertainers of the mid-20th century, who lost his life to lung cancer.
ULC honors many legendary entertainers to raise awareness and funds for lung cancer research.
Now in its sixth year, coinciding with the kick-off of Lung Cancer Awareness month each November, ULC’s original cabaret concert series features the region’s brightest theatrical stars in an unforgettable performance emceed by Emmy-award winning A&E critic Joyce Kulhawik.
This year’s concert is supported in part by Eli Lilly and Company (Platinum level), Pfizer Inc (Gold level), Biomedical Modeling, Inc (Gold level), and Analogic Corporation (Bronze level).
All concert proceeds benefit early detection, research, and innovative treatments of lung cancer.

Dr. Francine Jacobson, radiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute, presents the annual Fan Award.
This award honors organizations or individuals who are committed to speaking out about lung cancer; to raising awareness about this still-stigmatized disease; or to conducting research leading to new methods of early detection and groundbreaking treatments.
Jordan Rich of WBZ Radio, who lost his wife to the disease, will be honored as this year’s recipient for his outstanding efforts to inform the public about lung cancer and lung cancer events.
ULC sustains a long-standing collaborative research partnership with LUNGevity Foundation.
To date, the two organizations have invested together $800,000 in research at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and the University of Maryland.
This research works toward achieving their vision of a world free of lung cancer.
This year’s research grant recipients will also be announced during the benefit concert event.
Upstage Lung Cancer was recently honored with a $5,000 MVP award by the New England Patriots, honoring ULC’s commitment to helping others, exemplifying community leadership.
