Take your best shots at the Sharon Public Library when the 2nd Annual Spring Swing Mobile-MiniGolf Event takes off between the stacks on Sunday, April 10, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Sponsored by The Friends of the Sharon Public Library (The Friends) and Spring Valley Country Club (SVCC), the 18-hole indoor minigolf fundraiser will help raise much-needed money for the purchase of two Lego® Mindstorms® sets for students.

Produced by Lego’s® renowned Education division, Lego® Mindstorms® are widely used by science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) curricula.

They will allow students to design, build and program fully functioning robots at the SPL.

The Mobile-Mini-Golf event will also feature fun challenges for children and adults and a raffle of desirable prizes from SVCC, including: a round of golf and lunch for 3 with an SVCC member ($400 value); a day and lunch at the SVCC pool for a family ($150 value); one SVCC golf lesson ($100 value); and one SVCC tennis lesson ($75 value).

Located on Tiot Street in Sharon and featuring wide, panoramic fairways and beautifully manicured greens, SVCC is a private golf and tennis club known for offering some of the finest and most challenging playing conditions in New England.

Raffle tickets will be on sale at the SPL from March 28 – April 9, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm most days.

Cost is just $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20.

Need to warm up before you play?

Practice your game on four trial holes at the SPL on Saturday, April 9 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.

Cost to participate in the Spring Swing fundraiser is $5 per person; $15 per foursome; free for ages 3 and under.

“Last year’s Mobile-MiniGolf fundraiser for the Sharon Public Library was hugely popular with the community,” says Friends of the SPL President Kirstin Gray.

“We hope every Sharon resident will come out and show their support for expanded STEM programming at the library by participating in this year’s event.”

The Spring Swing fundraiser will be held rain or shine.
