The New England Educational Opportunity Association, or NEOA, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization with 501(c)(3) status made up of professionals who are actively interested in insuring equal educational opportunities in higher education.
NEOA has membership of more than 300 educators throughout New England.
NEOA membership is primarily made up of educators from the federally-funded TRIO programs; like Upward Bound, Veterans Upward Bound, Math-Science Upward Bound, Educational Talent Search, Student Support Services, the Ronald E.
McNair Post-Baccalaureate Program, and Educational Opportunity Centers; Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR-UP), and other educational opportunity programs.
These 125 programs serve more than 50,000 low-income, disabled, and potential first-generation college students in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Alumni of these programs include Viola Davis, Patrick Ewing, John Quinones and millions of successful professionals.
