“Days of our Lives” Star Emcees Musical Fundraiser

Kennedy Children’s Action Corps, a national leader in developing and implementing model, successful child welfare and juvenile justice programs.
During the event, seven local performers will put on a variety show of Broadway, Opera and Pop music.
Shaughnessy will be introduced by Susan Wornick, former anchor of WCVB-TV’s midday newscast and longtime agency supporter.
The event is being hosted by Stoneham Theatre.
During a meet-and-greet with fans after the show, Shaughnessy will answer questions from guests, pose for photos, and sign autographs.
Shaughnessy is best-known for his role as Shane Donovan in the NBC daytime series, “Days of Our Lives,” in which he recently re-appeared; on the CBS show, “The Nanny,” when he played Maxwell Sheffield opposite Fran Dresher; and as Saint John Powell on “Mad Men.” Shaughnessy and Wornick are members of Robert F.
Kennedy Children’s Action Corps’ advisory council.
While in town, Shaughnessy will meet with Robert F.
Kennedy Action Corps youth to help them recognize their own creative talents and build their self-esteem.
The six local vocalists are Brendan Carroll, Sheree Dunwell, Ryann Murphy, Amanda Rosa, Tom Rosa, Fred VanNess, and Jamie Conway on piano.
The benefit will take place at Stoneham Theatre, 395 Main Street, Stoneham, Mass., on Wednesday, Oct.
12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for the show or $35 for the show and meet-and-greet with Shaughnessy.
