This year’s Global Achievement Award honorees will be Dr. Gordon Weir and Dr. Susan Bonner-Weir, the husband-wife duo leading Joslin’s beta cell research team and the 2016 Spotlight on Hope honorees will be sisters Sarah and Clarissa Peterson, both type 1 diabetes patients and avid supporters of Joslin.
Emceed by J.C. Monahan, co-anchor of WCVB’s Chronicle, the evening will begin with a lively cocktail reception followed by entertainment from the Hip Pocket Orchestra as well as a silent and live auction led by auctioneer John Terrio of Auction Knights.
Guests will have the chance to win a 3-night stay for two in a suite at the Fairmount Olympic Park in Seattle, including transportation, a Le Cordon Bleu Cooking Class and VIP tour of Pike Place Market in this year’s raffle.
