This year's two-day event will be held on Saturday, April 7, 9am-2pm, and Sunday, April 8, 9am-12pm, at the West Newbury Annex at 381 Main Street in West Newbury.
This past fall, we held our first two-day sale and it was very well received by the community. Christine DiGiuseppe, Board Member, and Consignment Sale Chair states.
We saw our largest number of sellers to date and over the years we consistently offer over 10,000 items, and we are looking forward to keeping this great momentum going into the Spring 2018 sale.
Over the past ten years, the GNFC has hosted many consignment sales, each providing an organized, store-like shopping experience filled with gently-used gems.
These sales are open to the public and are a fantastic resource to local families to purchase newborn through adolescent clothing, indoor and outdoor toys, and baby equipment, as well as a large assortment of maternity wear.
The spring consignment sale also typically has sporting goods and equipment like soccer cleats, swim items, scooters and bikes, and jogging strollers.
People come from all over the North Shore, as well as the New Hampshire seacoast and southern Maine to take advantage of the deals at the consignment sales.
The 2017 GNFC donation went to the Community Giving Tree and The Custom House Maritime Museum.
In previous years, GNFC proceeds from the sale went to the Newburyport Rail Trail Project, the Amesbury Town Park Renovation Committee, the Breast Care Center at Anna Jaques Hospital, and the Newburyport Inn Street Fountain Restoration.
The community also benefits from the generosity of the sellers who choose to donate their unsold items at the end of the sale to local charities and GNFC facilitates the process.
Last year, donated items went to Community Giving Tree, Cradles to Crayons, and Thom Pentucket Early Intervention Program.
While it is great to arrive earlier in the day to find some of the best deals, with such a large inventory, anyone who visits the sale is sure to take home an armload!
In the past, we have offered a discount later in the day, but this year, we will be offering 50% off (on items marked as discounted) all day Sunday.
With a discount or not, deals are readily found!
