Please join us for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast, MON JAN 21, the nation’s longest-running event to honor the legacy of Dr. King.
This year’s theme is “Pledge to Carry On King's Work.” Dr. King advocated for a number of initiatives to help further diversity and inclusion on many levels. We recognize diversity and inclusion efforts, and celebrate the extraordinary community contributions with the following award recipients: Byron Rushing, True Compass Award, Drum Major Awards to Linda Dorcena Forry, Suffolk and Myechia Minter-Jordan, Dimmock, as well as the MLK Corporate Legacy Award to Liberty Mutual.
Over 1,000 people attended last year so don't be left out of this great networking event. The program features engaging speeches from Boston’s dignitaries (Governor Baker, Mayor Walsh, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Ed Markey, Attorney General Maura Healey, Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz) and notable leaders (Boston Police Commissioner William Gross, President of Wellesley Colllege Paula Johnson, Congresswoman Elect Ayanna Pressley), live gospel music and an inspirational address from our keynote speaker, Sheyann Webb-Christburg, Dr. King’s “Smallest Freedom Fighter”.
