Rocktober Event to Benefit The Ellie Fund and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Hard Rock Cafe Boston will rock out for the fight against breast cancer. On Monday, October 29, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., Hard Rock Boston will host the Hard Rock Tie Rock ‘n’ Roll Ball, featuring live performances by Boston based artists.
The event, sponsored by WBOS 92.9 FM and Stuff@Night, will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a not-to-miss door prize and special silent auction that includes exclusive items, such as rock memorabilia and entertainment items. Hard Rock will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the event and silent auction to The Ellie Fund is a non-profit organization fighting breast cancer and easing its effects on patients and families across Massachusetts.
The Care for the Caregiver program is based on the belief that fighting cancer is easier when patients and families can focus their energy on each other. Unique in Massachusetts, this program provides transportation to medical appointments, daycare, housekeeping, meals and more completely free of charge for breast cancer patients and families.
