West Roxbury-based nonprofit Anna’s Pals will be holding their first Amazing Race at Monsignor Donahue Hall in West Roxbury. Anna’s Pals is a grassroots organization in honor of Anna Jerome, who died of cancer after a bone marrow transplant at the age of 15.
They are building Anna’s Beach House, the first project of its kind in the nation that will provide a retreat for immunocompromised pediatric transplant and bone marrow patients.
About The Amazing Race
At exactly 7pm, teams of 4 will receive the first riddle leading to the first clue and then the race is on! Teams will go out into the community to find hidden clues and complete fun tasks.
The team who completes all the tasks first will be crowned the winners of Anna’s Pals Amazing Race. There will be music, beverages and raffles following the race -- a great night for all ages!
The suggested donation for participation is $40/contestant ($160 per four person team). All donations will help fund Anna’s Beach House, a compound of specially built beach cottages that will provide essential respite for immunocompromised children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.
