The charity swim event will take place at Castle Island’s Pleasure Bay in South Boston on Saturday, August 6 from 8 a.m. to noon.

For those under 8, there will also be a Kids Splash for children to play along the beach under supervision.
Participants will get the chance to dive in alongside former Olympic swimmers, including Janel Jorgensen McArdle, Alex Meyer, Craig Beardsley, Bobby Hackett, Lou Vitucci, Amy McGrath, and Ellen Owen.
All proceeds from the charity swim benefit the David B. Perini Jr. Quality of Life Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as well as Mass General for Children.
The Perini Clinic at Dana-Farber provides care for pediatric cancer survivors and conducts research on how to help them live longer, better lives.
This year, the clinic has its very own team, The Perini Clinic Paddlers, comprised of Dana-Farber staff, patients, families, and friends.
To donate to or join the Perini Clinic Paddlers, visit their team page.
Swimmers can participate as an individual or as part of a team, with registration open until midnight on Thursday, August 4.
Registration begins with a self-donation of $100 per person.
Registered swimmers must raise $500 if 18 or older and raise $250 if under 18 by event day.
