Join us as we celebrate 60 years of community action and honor our community heroes — individuals whose exceptional kindness and compassion uplift the underserved!Featuring keynote speaker Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Marcia L. Fudge and a special tribute to former ABCD President/CEO John J. Drew.
It takes intense heat and extreme pressure to form a diamond, and that’s a fitting metaphor for ABCD and the community heroes we will honor in our 60th year.
Our heroes persevered, personifying grace under pressure as they delivered life-changing assistance and empowering initiatives.
Hosted by WCVB’s Karen Holmes Ward, the evening features a keynote address from Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Marcia L. Fudge.
The evening will also feature a special tribute to former ABCD President/CEO John J. Drew, who retired in June 2022 after 51 years with ABCD, 13 as its leader.
Drew will be inducted into the ABCD Hall of Fame, a rare honor received by such luminaries as Melnea Cass, Sen. Ted Kennedy, Dr. Jean McGuire, and Mel King.
