PKD - one of the most common, life-threatening genetic diseases —It affects generations of families, striking both adults and children.
It often leads to the need for dialysis and a kidney transplant.
The Walk for PKD brings volunteers, walkers and supporters together as we unite to find treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease.
One in 500 people have PKD, yet hardly anyone has heard of it.
We will continue to walk until no one has to suffer the full effects of this devastating disease.
Through our efforts we have developed a potential treatment but there is no cure - thanks to our supporters - there is hope!
Registration begins at 9:30 and the walk begins at 10:30.
In between there will be free breakfast and coffee from local vendors as well as great prize drawings, information and kids activities.
The event is free but fundraising or a donation is expected.
Register, form a team, come out and walk or donate to our cause.
Bring your family, friends, and furry companions for a day of community, exercise, and hope.
We'll have a fantastic route planned, complete with breathtaking views of Boston.
By participating in the 2023 Boston PKD Walk, you'll be supporting groundbreaking research that aims to find a cure for PKD, a genetic disease affecting thousands of people worldwide.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with PKD.
