Make exercise a family event. The BC Race to Educate is a 5K run or walk that starts on the Boston College Campus. A kids fun run at 10:30 is held before the 5k begins.

And family fun continues after the 5k run/walk. All proceeds benefit the education of children at St. Columbkille Partnership School in Brighton, Mass.

5K Course

Distance: 5k (3.1 miles)

Start: On the BC Campus in the shadows of Doug Flutie's Heisman Trophy in front of the Yawkey Athletic Building.

Course: The 5k runs from the BC lower campus, down the Boston Marathon's famed Heartbreak Hill, loops through one of Newton's exclusive neighborhoods, through BC's Middle Campus, and returns to BC's Lower Campus.

Finish: Finishes adjacent to B.C.'s Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum.

Kids 1K course

Distance: 1k

A kid's fun run that starts and finishes next to the Doug Flutie Trophy in front of the Yawkey Athletic Building.
