Who: Any teens ages 16+ who are interested in leadership training as well as Guard Up Junior Instructors and Monster Campers.

Family Swordsmanship at 103 Terrace Hall Ave in Burlington, MA Cost: Guard Up members and currently enrolled Monster Campers are free.

$25 for all others.
Pre-Requisites: None
What to bring: Please bring comfortable clothing and shoes.

Please also bring water and a bag lunch This is an interactive workshop where teens can learn the skills and techniques that are helpful in managing large groups of children in a camp or class environment.

Some of the techniques that will be covered will be:
• Voice control and how it sets the mood of the group
• Communicating with confidence
• Assessing safety with the group
• Evaluating anxieties within the group
• Teambuilding exercises
• Improvisational Roleplaying and Story Design

Why it is important: This workshop is designed to introduce and grow the various methods that our most experienced instructors use every day at Guard Up as well as being applicable for any teen who wishes to improve their leadership experience.

This is an excellent addition to a job or college application.
