To celebrate, Suffolk will sponsor a 5k Fun Run (1k for kids) around Boston Common followed by a community gathering.
There will be fun athletic activities for children put on by Knucklesbones (www.knucklebones.us).
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Eliot School.
Participants will meet at the softball field in the Boston Common, located on the corner of Boylston Street and Charles Street.

Schedule:
• 8:30am Registration
• 9:00am Kids 1K Run
• 9:30am 5K Run
• 8:30-11:00 Light refreshments and a fun athletic activity offered by Knucklebones
Prizes:
• 5K 1st place: Kindle Fire
• 5K 2nd place: iPod Shuffle and $20 iTunes gift card
• 5K 3rd place: iPod Shuffle
$10 suggested minimum donation per runner or $25 per family.
T-shirts will be provided for the first 100 entrees.
