Phoenix Boston Invites Community to Attend Free Outdoor “Murph” Workout

The workout is done at CrossFit boxes across the country every Memorial Day to honor veterans and is named for Lt. Michael Patrick “Murph” Murphy, a Navy SEAL killed in action in 2005.
The free event will take place outdoors, weather permitting, with Phoenix instructors adapting it for all fitness levels.
A BBQ lunch will be served following the workout.
The Phoenix is a nonprofit organization which has inspired more than 28,000 individuals across America to redefine recovery through a unique model that helps people recover from substance use disorders and heal from related adverse experiences by leveraging the transformative power of social connection and physical activity.
Memberships are free of charge for anyone with a minimum 48 hours of continuous sobriety and include daily classes ranging from CrossFit and boxing to yoga and climbing.
