Enjoy a Midsummer’s Eve concert in the 1806 mansion at Gore Place. Pianist Stephen Porter will perform 'Serenade' by Schubert/Liszt; Mozart's Rondo in D, K. 485; Schumann's 'Scenes From Childhood'; and Beethoven's Sonata Op. 28, 'Pastorale' on a beautiful Broadwood & Sons (circa 1820) piano.

Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street, just off Route 20 (Main Street) near the Waltham/Watertown line. By public transportation: Take the Red Line to Central Square. Take the 70 or 70A bus toward Waltham. Gore Street is 1-1/4 miles West of Watertown Square.

About Pianist Stephen Porter
A graduate of Oberlin College and former faculty member at Webster University in St. Louis, Mr. Porter received his Master's Degree in Piano Performance with Distinction from the New England Conservatory of Music.

He has performed in Italy and throughout the United States and was chosen by Steinway and Sons to present five concerts as part of its 'Legendary Instruments of the Immortals' tour of Boston and Worcester, performing on the personal pianos of Horowitz, Paderewski, and Cliburn.
