This event is the first of a free, 3-part educational series about Water Stewardship. The event features a panel of 3 speakers, each of whom will give a 15-minute presentation about their topic followed by a Question and Answer period. Poster displays of related topics will be on display.

Topic: The Energy-Water Collision: Understanding the water implications of our energy choices, particularly in the context of climate change.

Jamie Maughan, Ph.D.: Vice President for Water Resources; CH2M Hill
Topic: Water in Developing Nations: How can we help communities develop sustainable water supplies and wastewater management practices consistent with their local cultural and natural resources?

Nancy Banks: Executive Director; UU Mass Action Network
Topic: The Human Right to Water: More people are losing their access to clean affordable water in the United States and overseas, and too often, the victims are poor people, women, and racial and ethnic minorities. Next steps in Massachusetts.

From Route I-95, Take exit 36 for Washington Street toward Woburn/Reading. After 0.7 miles, Washington Street in Woburn becomes West Street in Reading. Continue for 0.6 miles on West Street and then take a right onto Woburn Street. The church is 0.2 miles up on the left hand side.
