The soul, or essence, of aromatic plants have been in use since ancient times to nourish the body, ease a troubled mind, and promote a sense of health and wellness.
Aromatherapy is the art and science of using these volatile plant oils, called essential oils, and their distillates, known as hydrosols, for therapeutic purposes via inhalation and topical applications.
Learn how aromatherapy works, tips for using it in the kitchen, and how you can enjoy aromatherapy in your own garden.
Amy Kreydin, CCAP, is a Holistic Aromatherapist and a Nationally Board Certified Reflexologist with a full-time practice in Stoneham. Her parents cultivated in her a love for dirt and plants when she was a toddler and Amy’s been growing herbs for food, health and the joy of gardening ever since.
