Rainbow smelt are small fish that spend most of their lives in the ocean, but swim upstream to spawn in fresh water in the North River.

Free and open to the public; suitable for children.

Meet on the banks of the North River at Howley Street (just past the Salem/Peabody line at Harmony Grove Road).
