The film starts off with the mysterious mass stranding of several whale species in the Bahamas in March 2000 and dives deeper into the issue of how human noise pollution threatens the ability of whales and other marine animals to communicate, thrive, mate and even survive.
Following the documentary premiere, Leila Hatch, PhD., Marine Ecologist, Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, NOAA, will lead a panel discussion and Q&A about the film and the negative effects of undersea noise pollution.
The free film and panel discussion takes place Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m.
