Bring it or any other used item to the Museum to be recycled by decorating it with free postage stamps.
In addition to providing colorful stamps to decorate used items, children can learn how to make envelopes from old wrapping paper and maps and then use them to send Earth Day greetings to friends with the Museum providing free postage.
There will also be stamp games and puzzles with stamp prizes awarded and arts and crafts projects.
Families can also make a stamp map using worldwide stamps that feature many endangered species and take home the stamps they find.
A display featuring United States and worldwide stamps that depict many environmental topics will be on exhibit.
Refreshments will be served and tips about how to start a stamp collection will be available.
All children will receive a free packet of stamps and can have their photograph made into a “stamp.
The Museum gift shop and US Post Office which sells all current stamps will also be open.
