Doggone Halloween Pet Parade! at Downtown Crossing
Doggone Halloween returns on October 28 at noon with dogs and their owners filling the streets of Downtown Crossing with spooky, fun costumes. Boston’s biggest annual Halloween-themed pet costume contest is back featuring pups and their owners who dress in their spookiest outfits and strut their stuff for a panel of judges.
Prize packages are awarded for Best Costume, Spookiest Costume, Cutest Costume, and Best Human & Dog Duo, and Best Dog & Child Duo. Downtown Crossing Steps (Washington St. @ Franklin St.) from 12 noon to 2:30pm, with a pet-focused vendor village and contestant registration at the Summer Street Plaza outside Macy’s.
The free event helps put our neighborhood in the Halloween spirit, as dozens of community members showcase their beloved--and costumed--canines.
Our panel of judges will declare winners in the categories of Best Costume, Scariest Costume, Cutest Costume, and Best Dog & Human Duo. Fantastic prizes, including hotel stays and gift baskets, from the neighborhood will be up for grabs!
Prizes include a night's stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston, a night's stay at the Omni Parker House, tickets to the soon-to-be-open WNDR Museum, and much more!
There will be a vendor village that includes free face painting, caricature artists, and treats for everyone.
In addition to the parade, there will be several dog-themed vendors, caricature artists, face painting, numerous fall-themed photo spots, giveaways, and delicious treats for all!
