The Harvard Square Holiday Fair is one of the oldest and most popular fairs in Boston - the original rock and roll holiday fair. Now in its 37th year, the fair runs for two consecutive weekends, Dec 15-17 and Dec 21-23 at Brattle Square in Cambridge.
The fair is juried and includes a changing mix of New England craftspeople and world traveling importers featuring a great selection of beautiful, original and affordable gifts.
Talking to the craftspeople who make what they sell gives shoppers a connection to what they are buying that is just not possible at the mall, through a catalog or online.
It's a high energy alternative marketplace with a great soundtrack, where people see old friends and make new ones - a taste of the old Harvard Square.
