Lecture and book signing by Dr. Scott Kraus and Rosalind Rolland on the New England Aquarium.

In 1980 scientists counting marine mammals in the Bay of Fundy were astonished at the sight of 25 right whales, which, until that time, were believed to be nearly extinct. The sightings spurred massive research into the biology and plight of right whales, newly documented in their new book, The Urban Whale. Kraus and Rolland will discuss the threats to right whales from human activities and their hope for the salvation of this critically endangered whale.
