When a pet emergency happens at home, it can be a very frightening and anxious experience for a pet owner. The Animal Hospital of Lynnfield wants to make sure that pet owners are armed with the knowledge needed to respond and help protect their pets in a time of need.
The two hour first aid training event will include education and response techniques on some of the most commonly seen emergencies for dogs and cats.
Come learn how to perform CPR on a dog with a live demonstration of mouth to nose resuscitation; tips to responding to heat stroke, toxin injection, seizures, dehydration, and drowning; how to make a first aid kit for you home; what household items are toxic to your pooch or cat, how to bandage and splint legs, and the best things you can do for you dog or cat on the way to the emergency room or while contacting your Veterinarian for help.
Space is limited to fifty attendees. Attendance is for dog and cat owners, not pets. Tickets will cost $10 per person with proceeds being donated to the Veterinary Scholarship Trust of New England (VSTONE). VSTONE provides scholarships for New England area students studying veterinary medicine.
To reserve your space and purchase your ticket contact Janet Rivers of Saint Joseph Parish at 781-910-5011 or janetrivers@verizon.net
